Hi Amazons! I just wanted to get a sense for how people were feeling about the privacy settings of the board. Currently, the introduction boards can be seen without membership, the food boards can be seen with basic membership, and the progress and personal boards can only be seen after you've made your introduction and been bumped up to Amazon. Does this feel comfortable for everyone? I can see an argument for making everything except for the introductory boards private until you make an intro, but I wanted to hear from the community. What are your thoughts?
I hope you're all having restful weekends if you've trained all week, or that your training is going awesome if your weekend is your time to train!

Sounds good to me! No argument here.

Hello Just saying hi and that I'm checking it out and considering signing up. I could use the supportive vibe of this place. I'm dropping a line because looking around I realized that while the privacy settings are right (as a guest I can't see the stuff you don't want non members to see, Hot Flanks), guests can create threads and respond, as evidenced by this message getting through. Just thought I'd drop a line in case that's an oversight. I get the impression that it might be, though I could be wrong. Thanks! And good Sunday to you all.

Thanks for the note Nat!
I've gone back and forth on whether to turn off the option to create threads on the intro boards. I think it's valuable for those who might not be ready to sign up to ask questions in this way. I'd appreciate community input on that as well!

Everything has now been locked down to be visible only after introducing yourself and being bumped to Amazon, with the exception of the introductory and information boards.
I think that this is best in order to maintain privacy so that we can openly communicate with each other. If you would like to view and post in any of the subforums, you must introduce yourself from now on. As stated in the Member Rankings post, it is acceptable to introduce yourself to me privately - but I'd encourage you to make introductory posts on the main introduction board so that we can all know each other.
Thank you everyone for your patience while we're getting this community up and running!!
