I used to lift a lot but haven't really been working out since I had a baby 2 years ago. I've never been gender conforming and never had a problem lifting a lot of weights. I remember starting out when I was 20, I filled up old jugs and started doing bicep curls. They weighed like 7 1/2 lbs lol, but I still saw results because it was more than I had regularly lifted in my entire life. Eventually I was able to use the gym at my work and I followed the blog stumptuous for a couple of years, learned a lot about squats and how to eat from there but didn't like the whole "you won't get too big!" articles in addition to ones that were really anti-fat. I've been into feminism for about 8 years now. I am pretty terrible at these introductions, sorry in advance.
I just moved and was really taken aback by how easily fatigued I am while doing stuff that used to be easy. I'm pretty terrible at small talk but I like to help other people and will contribute what I can. thansk for the opportunity

Welcome to the forums agorafobiya! I think the inventive ways that people have found to move around heavy things and get strong are always so inspiring! I've got a few cinder blocks, tires, and bricks lying around myself I'm glad you've found the site. A lot of our focus is around combating the pervasive idea that "you won't get too big!" or that getting big is undesireable to begin with. We're here to get big and strong!!

Hey there! I was following Stumptuous too for a while! It was the only blog I could find that considered strength a priority over weight loss. And yeah that's where I learned to do a squat :3
